EMMANUEL
BAPTIST CHURCH
OUR PASTOR

Pastor Jeff Hawks
Pastor Jeff Hawks was born in Mount Airy, North Carolina. His parents raised him in church, and at the age of four he knelt by his bed and received Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour. God called him to preach at Midway Baptist Church at the age of seventeen, and he started preaching to shut-ins and teenagers. At the age of nineteen he served at Northside Baptist Church, where he became the youth director, Children’s Church director, and served as bus captain for four years. He went to Bible college for four years and then went into evangelism, preaching in churches and on the mission field. He worked in New Hope Christian Academy as principal and teacher. During that time, he met Yvette Poelman and got married, and they worked at the school together. Then God called them into missions. Serving with Macedonia World Baptist Missions, they started Freedom Baptist Church in Washington state in 2008. In October of 2015, God called Jeff Hawks, his wife, and his four children to Missouri. As pastor at Emmanuel Baptist Church, he has a burden to reach the community with the gospel of Jesus Christ and to see the church grow.
