STATEMENT OF FAITH

The Scriptures:

We believe the plenary, verbal, inspiration of the scriptures. All parts of the Bible are infallible, inerrant, God-breathed, and therefore, are the final authority for faith and life. We believe the King James has been divinely preserved for the English-speaking people.

The Person of Jesus Christ:

We believe Christ’s virgin birth, His Deity, and His sinless life; His vicarious death and bodily resurrection, His ascension, and in His personal pre-tribulation, pre-millennial return.

Fall of Man:

We believe that man was created in the image of God (Gen. 1:26-27) and fell voluntarily into sin and death. Sin and death was then passed upon all men (Rom. 5:12). All men are born sinners and under condemnation (Rom. 3:23).

The Doctrine of the Church:

We believe the church is a congregation of baptized believers associated by a covenant of faith, observing the ordinances of Christ and governed by His laws. The mission of the church is to follow the “Great Commission (Matt. 28:19-20).”

Personality of Satan:

We believe that Satan once lived in Heaven and enjoyed its honors (Isa. 14:12). But because of the sin of pride, he wanted to be as God (Isa. 14:14). He fell and was rejected from Heaven (Isa. 14:12), as well as one third of the angels. He is now the prince of the air. He is the tempter, the accuser of the brethren, the author of all false religions of today, and lord of the anti-Christ. He will be judged and cast into the lake of fire forever.

The Person of God:

We believe there is only one true God. He created and rules the Universe (Gen. 1:1), and made man by special creation in the Garden of Eden. We believe in the Trinity: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Person of the Holy Spirit:

We believe the Holy Spirit is a divine person equal with God the Father and the Son. He convicts sinners, performs the new birth, and baptizes the believer into the body of Christ. He seals, guides, sanctifies, and gives power to the believer.

Salvation and Security of the Believer:

We believe that Salvation is by grace through faith in Christ’s redemptive work and not by any work of our own. Jesus is the only way of Salvation. We are kept and secure by the finished work of Jesus Christ.

The Eternal State:

We believe that believers in Christ will enjoy Heaven for eternity and unbelievers will suffer punishment in Hell forever.

Current Trends in Theology:

We believe in the fundamentals of the faith. We stand strongly against any modern trends including Neo-Evangelicalism, Neo-Orthodoxy, the Ecumenical Movement, and the Charismatic movement.
